When deciding on mini containers, it's important to know what features they offer, and to know what's best housed in them. Mini containers typically come in a standard size for offshore applications. Whether for housing tools, small equipment, or other goods, mini containers are available with or without shelves. The information below highlights the features offered on the mini containers made by BSL.
BSL offers two standard mini containers -- with a single size of 6' x 6' x 8'; one is made without shelving, and the other with shelving. Both containers can be fitted with cargo restraining nets, as well as several tie-down points in the event that you will need to transport your items safely and securely. The interior dimensions of both mini containers are 1668 mm by 1728 mm by 2116 mm, and the exterior dimensions of both are 1830 mm by 1830 mm by 2438 mm. The tare weight on the mini without shelves is 1,350 kg, with a gross weight of 5,000 kg. The tare weight on the mini container is slightly higher, with the shelf is 1,550 kg, and a gross weight of 5,000 kg.
All BSL mini containers are made to the highest standards and regulations in the container industry; including the DNV 2.7-1 for offshore containers, the EN 12079 for offshore containers in design, construction, testing, and inspection marking, and ISO 1161 certification, for specifications of corner fittings for series one freight containers. There are no higher standards in the container manufacturing industry. Furthermore, all BSL mini containers are made with the best materials available, such as Hempel marine paints, and Corten steel (high grade). Because the exacting standards and regulations are met, these offshore containers are useable at major ports, transportation warehouses, and storage facilities.
These mini containers are tested for strength of materials and design -- because, no matter what you will be using your mini containers for (storage, transport, etc.), they will need to endure any kind of environmental conditions, transport conditions, and other heavy-duty wear-and-tear circumstances. Poor welding techniques, inferior paints, and other low-quality materials will buckle, chip, and break under even normal offshore operating conditions -- which is a waste of your money and time. BSL ensures the latest standards and best materials available to ensure your money is well spent -- and your mini containers will last over the long haul.
